Honda Dax Modified Into An Outrageous Chopper

Christened as Ramone, this mini-chopper is commissioned by Indonesia-based Lemb Inc.

While mod jobs are often a sight to stare at, it's seldom that you’d stumble across something completely off the charts. The Ramone chopper is one such artsy project by Lemb Inc, a custom workshop from Jakarta. This baby chopper has been built for Muchlis Fachri, an Indonesian artist. 

The crafty folks at Lemb Inc have played around with the Honda Dax frame and other cycle parts like the swingarm and the fuel tank. The original idea was to power the chopper with an old C70 motor only for the team to find out that its innards weren’t exactly in running conditions. The little air-cooled mill had a bent valve and stuffed piston too. However, another donor unit from a C86 Honda Supercub saved the day. In the stock form, it makes 5.27PS at 8,000rpm. 

Moreover, this mini-chopper uses a set of 107cm solid forks with 10-inch rims at both ends. One of the toughest parts for the design team of the Ramone chopper was to work out its rear end.

Some of the interesting design cues are the extremely upswept exhaust, the suicide gear shifter and the body paint matched footpegs. 

While it seemed like the project entered its completion stage, a few thieves broke into Lemb Inc’s workshop and managed to steal a few tools and dropped the Ramone chopper. This meant that the damaged paintwork needed another hand. However, the final product has resulted to be second to none.
