Hero Vida Electric Scooter Launch Date Revealed

Hero MotoCorp has announced that its first electric scooter is all set to launch on October 7. The scooter will be sold under Vida, Hero's recently trademarked sub-brand set up to focus on the electric two-wheeler segment. While the e-scooter’s launch was initially scheduled for March 2022, multiple delays saw it being pushed to the festive season. We expect an aggressive price tag close to the Rs 1 lakh mark (ex-showroom), or even lower.
While Hero hasn’t divulged any details about this upcoming electric scooter, a prototype of Hero MotoCorp’s electric scooter was shown – virtually – back in August last year. The scooter, then, seemed to employ a mid-mounted motor. For more details, click here.
In terms of performance, we expect the upcoming electric scooter to be in the ballpark of something like the base variant of the TVS iQube. In addition to the upcoming Vida scooter, Hero MotoCorp hasd also partnered with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) to set up charging infrastructure across the country for electric two-wheelers.
