Hero Splendor Plus Special Edition Unveiled, Launch Likely In Dussehra
Hero celebrates 125 million customers worldwide with a special edition launch of India’s best selling bike
UPDATE: The 125M Special Edition of the Hero Splendor Plus has been launched. The new variant look quite premium and cost just a little extra more than the top variantof the bike.
Hero MotorCorp has unveiled a new 125 Million Special Edition of the Splendor Plus to celebrate the milestone of 125 million customers globally. This Hero Splendor special edition gets a new paint scheme with premium-looking graphics making the bike a lot more appealing than before.
What’s New
The 125 Million Special Edition of the Hero Splendor Plus gets an all new glossy grey paint scheme. Taking the premium feel a step forward, the 3D ‘Hero’ badge and the ‘Splendor Plus’ badge are finished in gold. It also gets gold and brown coloured graphics. Other than these, it also gets Special Edition stickers on the tail panels, and matte black alloy wheels with golden coloured rim stripes. We really like the colour combo and it goes quite well with the pinstripe-themed graphics.
This edition also gets a premium looking ‘125M’ badging on the fuel tank and on the key. Also, instead of the chromed out grabrail with integrated small trail rack, this one gets a gloss black single-piece grabrail. It may not be as practical as the one on the standard bike, but looks cool nonetheless.
What’s Unchanged
This 125 million edition retains the tried and tested design of the Splendor Plus. It comes with a 97.2cc single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that makes 8PS and 8.5Nm. The Splendor is well known to offer excellent mileage. In fact, it is one of the bikes that offered the highest mileage in our tests.
It uses the same steel tube frame as before, with conventional telescopic fork, and twin rear shock absorbers with preload adjustability. The bike runs on 18-inch alloy wheels at both ends with 80-section tyres. This variant also uses 130mm drum brakes, both at the front and rear with CBS (Combined Braking System). It weighs 112kg (kerb), and comes with a 165mm ground clearance.
The instrument cluster is quite basic, with an analogue speedometer, fuel gauge and odometer. However the bike does come with Hero’s i3S technology, which basically is an engine stop/start feature. The Hero Splendor Plus competes with the Honda Shine 100 and Bajaj Platina 100, and to see which 100cc bike is better, read this.

After the GST 2.0 rate cut on Hero Bikes, the top-spec Hero Splendor Plus now costs Rs 75,055 (ex-showroom Delhi), and this new Special Edition is expected to be priced around Rs 1000 more. This 125M special edition is expected to be launched in October 2025, very likely during Dussehra for attracting even more customers than usual.
This isn’t the first time a brand has launched a bike with special/new colours just after the GST rate cut announcement. Honda also did it, by launching the CB350C Special Edition right before the festive season. Suzuki also did the same with the new V-Strom SX 250 colours.
