Doug Danger Breaks Evel Knievel's 43 Year Old Dream Record

The famous motorcycle showman of the ’60s and ’70s- Evel Knievel attempted to jump 22 cars parked side by side in 1972 on his Harley-Davidson XR750. Unfortunately, he failed to achieve his target and bounce-landed on the safety ramp built by his crew over the last three cars. Now, a daredevil biker from Palmer, Massachusetts- Doug Danger has succeeded to break this record at Sturgis after 43 years. And the best part is that the Doug has completed this jump on the Evel's 1972 Harley-Davidson XR750.

After the successful implementation of the show, Danger exclaimed, “This is the best day of my life. That bike landed like a ton of bricks, and I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to keep it from bouncing down the ramp, but I did it! I broke Evel’s record and cleared those 22 cars!”

This is not the first thrilling show of Danger, he already has a Guinness Book of World Records title for longest motorcycle jump and has leaped over the fuselage of a 737 jet. Attempting these amazing stunts, Danger also has a big list of his injuries including fractured skull, brain damage, broken an additional “47 or 48” bones and third-degree leg burns. Apart from the motorcycle shows, he is a two-time award-winning Toastmasters motivational speaker and runs the “Danger Zone Saloon,” a sports and karaoke bar in Warren, Massachusetts.
