2026 Bajaj Pulsar N160 4V To Launch In India Soon!

Bajaj's answer to the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is almost here

Quick News Highlights:

  • The bike is expected to launch before August 12, 2026

  • A refreshed design & more features are expected

  • Will also receive a power & price bump over the 2V model

The Bajaj Pulsar N160 is finally set to receive one of its biggest updates since its launch. Bajaj will soon introduce the new Pulsar N160 4V in India, and we have already received a Block Your Date (BYD) invite for the motorcycle's first ride on August 12, 2026. While Bajaj hasn't officially announced the launch date yet, the launch is expected to take place a couple of days before the media ride.

The updated N160 will not only get a new four-valve engine, but is also expected to feature a TFT instrument console along with refreshed graphics and subtle styling revisions.

4-Valve Engine Should Bring A Healthy Performance Boost

The Bajaj Pulsar N160’s biggest rival, the TVS Apache RTR 160 range, comes in both 2V and 4V configurations, and here’s how much difference there is between them:

TVS Apache RTR 160 2V

TVS Apache RTR 160 4V

Difference

16.04 PS & 13.85 Nm

17.55 PS & 14.73 Nm

+1.51 PS & +0.88 Nm

This suggests the switch from a two-valve to a four-valve head can deliver a meaningful performance bump. We expect Bajaj to adopt a similar strategy with the upcoming Pulsar N160 4V, giving it more power while retaining the tractable nature that the N160 is known for.

Although official output figures are still under wraps, the new four-valve head should help improve top-end performance without compromising everyday usability.

TFT Console And Fresh Styling Updates Expected

Apart from the engine upgrade, the new Bajaj bike is expected to receive a few cosmetic and feature updates as well.

The biggest addition is likely to be a TFT instrument console, replacing the current LCD unit. If it does get a TFT console, it will be the first Bajaj bike to do so. The bike is also expected to receive updated graphics and revised design elements, giving it a fresher appearance while retaining its familiar muscular streetfighter styling.

Expected Price

The four-valve model is naturally expected to command a premium over the outgoing two-valve version.

Currently, the Bajaj Pulsar N160 is priced between Rs 1,16,142 and Rs 1,28,496 (both ex-showroom, Delhi).

We expect Bajaj to price the new model around:

  • Rs 6,000 to Rs 8,000 more for the base variant

  • Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000 more for the top-spec variant

That would still keep the motorcycle competitively positioned in the premium 160cc segment.

BikeDekho Says

The Bajaj Pulsar N160 has always been one of the most refined and balanced motorcycles in its class, but the absence of a four-valve engine meant it fell behind its rivals in terms of outright performance. With the upcoming update, Bajaj is finally addressing that gap. The addition of a 4V engine, a modern TFT console, and refreshed styling should make the N160 a much stronger package and, more importantly, a proper rival to the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V. If Bajaj manages to keep the price increase reasonable, the updated N160 could become one of the most compelling premium 160cc motorcycles on sale.

N160 is blessing for young riders and also comfortable for the family. It has 164 cc engine, which provides instant acceleration and it gives good mileage around 50 which make it insane for a 160 cc engine segment.
