In the light of the recent GST change, BSA has announced that the GoldStar 650 will become more expensive from September 22. However, the bike has also recently completed 1 year since its launch and has some celebratory offers.
GST Price Hike
The BSA Gold Star 650 has a 652cc single-cylinder engine, which puts it in the 40% GST slab. To explain briefly, bikes with engine capacities more than 350cc are now considered luxury goods and will now attract 9% more GST than before.
This will cause the BSA Gold Star 650 price to go up by Rs 23,702 from September 22, 2025. Here’s how much the variants will be priced at:

Limited Edition Accessories
BSA has launched a limited edition accessories kit for the bike, called the ‘Goldie Kit’, with a lot of functional as well as styling elements. The accessory kit, worth Rs 5,896, includes a windscreen, a pillion backrest, an exhaust shield and a stylish pillion grab rail. All these accessories are currently offered at no additional cost. If you are planning to buy the GoldStar, these accessories will give your bike a special touch.
Exchange Offer
BSA has announced an exchange offer in which you can trade in any two-wheeler for a value of up to Rs 10,000. This exchange offer is applicable till September 21. That, combined with the accessories offer, can give you a benefit of about Rs 15,895, on the current price.

While the price rise is inevitable, the current offers on the BSA Gold Star should make it lucrative for buyers wanting to buy the bike soon. Irrespective of the offers, buying the bike now can save you money for almost a year’s worth of petrol. However if you are planning to buy the bike on loan, after Sep 22, the Rs 24,000 (roughly) that will increase will mean you’d have two or three additional payments if your EMI plan is somewhere between Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000. You might just be able to spread the price bump over the EMIs and soften the blow.

- Old school character & thumpyI was looking for a big bike that is easy to handle & has some character. BSA Gold Star has a classic & thumpy character that makes you feel like an old school charm. I'm primarily using it for city & highway rides. I have ridden it around 6000 kms that include both city & highway rides. The bike has great rear suspension & okayish front suspension (could've been improved). I prefer to setup the pre load to 4 (against the default 2) for better quality ride. Yes, Definitely go for it if you're looking for a thumpy performance & old school characterful bike. Suites best for city & highway commutes.
