Oben has launched a new electric motorcycle, the Rorr Evo, in India at a price tag of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the first 10,000 customers. The booking amount for the bike is Rs 777, and after the introductory offer ends, the prices will increase to Rs 1,24,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike gets a completely revised design language and slots right between the Rorr EZ and the Rorr EZ Sigma.
Design
The Oben Rorr Evo changes things up quite a bit as compared to the Oben electric bikes. The bike gets a sharp fascia with a single projector headlight and an LED DRL strip above it. It also gets aggressive tank shrouds and a sleek tail section, which makes the overall design of the bike quite sporty. The bike is available in four colour options: Neutron Blue, Pulse Red, Magnetic Black and Photon White.
Battery And Range
The Oben Rorr Evo gets a 3.4 kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery encased in an aluminium housing with an IP67 water and dustproof rating. It delivers an IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range of 180km and fast charges from 0-80% in 90 minutes. The bike also gets an onboard charger, which further enhances convenience.
Motor And Performance
The Rorr Evo is driven by a 9kW motor and has a peak torque of 250Nm. The bike gets a chain drive (first for an Oben bike). As per the brand’s claims, the bike does the 0-40kmph sprint in 3 seconds and has a top speed of 110kmph. It also gets 4 riding modes: Eco, City, Havoc and Smart IQ.
Underpinnings
This Oben bike gets a telescopic fork and a 7-step pre-load adjustable monoshock. It gets disc brakes with a combined braking system and 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends. It has an accessible seat height og 780mm, a generous 200mm ground clearance, a 230mm water wading capacity, and weighs 140kg kerb.. Notably, it gets a small 4-litre storage space where the ‘fuel’ tank is and even a 6-litre underseat storage.
Features
The Oben Rorr Evo gets the same 5-inch TFT console as we have previously seen on the Rorr EZ Sigma. It supports Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, music controls, call and message alerts.
Additional features include regenerative braking, fall alert, reverse mode and 2 USB charging ports. Remote tracking, anti-theft alerts, real-time vehicle tracking, and geo-fencing are enabled through the Oben smartphone app.
