BREAKING: Hero Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 Launched
Now gets new features and three dual-tone colour options
Hero MotoCorp has launched the Splendor Xtec 2.0 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of India's best-selling bike, the Splendor. The Jaipur-based bike maker has launched the new Hero Splendor Xtec 2.0 at Rs 82,911 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is just Rs 3,000 more than the Splendor Xtec.
In the Splendor Xtec 2.0, Hero has offered an all-LED headlight with integrated H-shaped LED DRLs (daytime running lights), and an H-shaped tail light, making it the only 100cc bike to have an LED headlight. For perspective, the previous version had a halogen headlight and an off-set LED DRL. The Splendor Xtec 2.0 also has a hazard light feature and a dedicated switch, which weren’t there in the previous version. What’s also new is the introduction of three dual-tone colour options including Matte Grey, Gloss Black, and Gloss Red. The bike also comes with new graphics.
Additionally, the Splendor Xtec 2.0 retains the same full-LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity that shows calls and SMS alerts, as the Splendor Xtec. It also has a USB charging port. Other features include an electric starter, a side stand engine cut-off feature, and an Idle Stop-Start System (i3S), which helps in conserving fuel by automatically switching off the engine when it idles for a while in traffic.
In terms of underpinnings and hardware, the Splendor Xtec 2.0 remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 97.2cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 8.02PS at 8000rpm and 8.05Nm at 6000rpm, paired with a 4-speed transmission. It delivers a claimed mileage of 73kmpl and has a fuel tank capacity of 9.8 litres.
The Hero Splendor Plus Xtec competes with other 100-110cc commuter bikes including the Honda Shine 100, Hero Passion Plus and top-end TVS Radeon.

A friend’s night ride idea made me plan the same, and it actually felt nice. This bike handles city roads calmly, doesn’t feel tiring, and keeps short trips easy. Weekend outings feel more relaxed, and even small store runs stay smooth. We wanted something steady for city lanes and small weekend plans. This bike feels comfortable and doesn’t trouble you in traffic. Quick turns, short breaks, and small detours all feel natural. Good for couples who like short peaceful rides. Great option for people who want a practical ride for daily movement. Works well in tight streets and doesn’t feel annoying on short trips. Weekend outings stay simple, and every ride feels manageable without extra effort or stress. Read More
