TVS iQube rival to arrive in a few hours

  • The Infinity e-scooter gets a swappable battery system
  • Booking amount kept at Rs 499
  • It will be manufactured at 22Kymco's Bhiwadi plant

(UPDATE: The Bounce Infinity E1 has been launched in India. Head here to read the launch story.)

Bounce is about to launch the Infinity electric scooter in the Indian market today. Customers can pre-book the e-scooter by paying a token amount of Rs 499 on its official website. Meanwhile, the deliveries of the e-scooter are expected to commence from the first quarter of next year. For the uninitiated, the Bengaluru-based Bounce started as a ride-sharing start-up which is now all set to enter the e-mobility space.

This e-scooter was spotted testing before and it's no surprise as the design of the Bounce Infinity looks almost identical to the 22Kymco iFlow. The Infinity e-scooter carries a retro look complemented by a circular LED headlight, curvy body structure, sleek tail section, circular mirrors and a fully digital instrument cluster.

The Bounce Infinity electric scooter will be powered by a removable Lithium Ion battery pack that’s likely to lend the e-scooter a range of around 85km. The best part about the electric scooter  is  that customers will be given the option to choose between buying the e-scooter with or without the battery pack. For the latter, customers will have to rely on Bounce’s upcoming swapping infrastructure.  Park+, an Indian startup that was founded to help travellers find parking space has now collaborated with Bounce to help the e-bike maker set up over 3,500 battery swapping stations across the country.

The ride of the Infinity electric scooter is taken care of by telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Meanwhile, for braking, it employs disc brakes at both ends.

The Infinity electric scooter will be sold online and via 200 dealers that are based out of Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad. It is expected to be priced at Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 for the battery and without battery variant, respectively. This e-scooter will be manufactured at 22Motors Bhiwadi plant in Rajasthan, which the company had acquired earlier this year. Also, Bounce says this plant has a capacity to roll out 1,80,000 scooters per year.

The Bounce Infinity electric scooter competes against the TVS iQube, Hero Electric Photon, Ola S1, and the Ather 450 Plus
