BMW India Teases Electric Maxi Scooter

BMW India has put out a teaser on social media, one that talks about a ‘Silent Revolution’ and has the silhouette of the BMW CE 04 electric scooter in the background. The scooter is hence likely to be unveiled at the BMW joyfest which is supposed to take place on December 10 and 11.

Talking about the scooter itself, what’s instantly visible is its futuristic styling. Sharp cuts, stretched dimensions, and just a tinge of retro makes the CE 04 quite an exquisite looking product. And in typical BMW fashion, the looks are backed by endless features and a powerful electric motor. Both the power versions (11kW and 15kW) are capable of propelling this scooter to a 120kmph top speed.

The BMW CE 04 is currently on sale in the UK for GBP 12,270. That’s Rs 12.35 lakh without even considering Indian taxes and duties. So if it does make its way to India, it’ll definitely remain for the privileged few. That said, it might just kickstart the performance-oriented electric scooter segment.
