Ampere Electric has expanded its Magnus lineup with the launch of the new Magnus EX. This new e-scooter is priced at Rs 68,999 (ex-showroom, Pune). Besides, the overall price of the scooter will go down further considering the additional state government incentives offered to EV buyers.

The Ampere Magnus EX is powered by a 38.25Ah removable lithium-ion battery which requires about seven hours to fully charge. This battery pack further comes paired with a 1200 Watt electric motor that lends the Magnus EX a top speed of 50kmph and a 0-40kmph acceleration time of 10 seconds. The e-scooter gets an ARAI tested range of 121km.

Other notable features on the electric scooter include an LED headlight surrounded by chrome embellishments, two riding modes (Eco and Power), remote unlock, an anti-theft alarm, vehicle locator and a footboard area of 450mm.

The Ampere Magnus EX is built on a cradle frame that gets a telescopic fork at the front and a coil spring at the rear. For braking, it employs a 130mm drum at both ends, further assisted by linked brakes. The ground clearance of the e-scooter is  147mm, which should be adequate to take on our broken roads and speed breakers.

The Ampere Magnus EX is available in a total of three colour options (red, grey and black), and it competes against the likes of the Hero Electric NYX HX and Pure EV ETrance Neo.
