2025 Hero Karizma XMR 210: Old Vs New Differences Explained

Hero MotoCorp recently launched the 2025 Karizma XMR 210 range in India. It has undergone some major changes, including a bump in pricing. Lets have a closer look at how the new Krizma XMR 210 competes against its older self.

Variants And Pricing

The 2025 Hero Karizma XMR 210 is offered in 3 variants, Base, Top and Combat Edition. The older XMR 210 has been placed as the Base variant and is priced at Rs 1,81,400 (ex-showroom Delhi). The Top variant is the new 2025 version and sits above the Base variant. Priced at Rs 1,99,750 (ex-showroom Delhi), the Top variant is a whole Rs 18,350 more expensive than the base variant. The new Combat Edition of the Karima XMR 210 costs Rs 2,01,500 (ex-showroom Delhi), which makes it the most expensive variant of the Karizma XMR 210. Colours 

Both Base and Top variants of the  Karizma XMR 210 are available in 3 colour options: Iconic Yellow, Turbo Red and Phantom Black. For 2025 these colour options are kept unchanged and they suit the sporty look and aggressive stance of the motorcycle quite well. 

The new Combat Edition of the Karizma XMR 210 gets a grey paint scheme which has been kept exclusive for this variant.

Underpinnings 

The Base variant of the Hero Karizma XMR 210 retains the same conventional telescopic fork while the Top variant and Combat Edition gets the new, more premium-looking 37mm golden coloured inverted fork. Other than this the motorcycle remains mechanically unchanged. Though the inverted fork is theoretically designed for better handling, a well-tuned telescopic fork can do its job just as well. 

Features 

The older Karizma XMR 210 had an LCD screen which showed all the crucial information and supported smartphone connectivity and had turn-by-turn navigation and SMS/call alerts. This same LCD display is now available in the Base variant of the Karizma.

The Top variant and Combat Edition of the Karizma XMR 210 gets a 4.2 inch TFT display which supports smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth along with turn-by-turn navigation and SMS/call alerts. While the information shown on both consoles is the same, the only difference lies in the type of display in the console. Hero should've packed the TFT  with a few more data to justify the upgrade.

What's Unchanged 

Other than aforementioned bits, the rest of the Karizma XMR 210 remains unchanged. It gets the same aggressive yet sporty styling as before with a well designed front fairing, and a clean looking tail section.

The motorcycle retains the same engine as before, the 210cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor which makes 25.5PS at 9250rpm and 20.4Nm at 7250rpm (now OBD-2B compliant). It gets a 300mm front and 230mm rear petal disc, along with dual channel ABS. The Karizma XMR 210 runs on 17 inch alloy wheels at both ends with a 100-section front and 140-section rear tubeless tyres.

Unless the inverted fork massively improves the handling of the Karizma, the premium is hard to justify. Changing from LCD to TFT while retaining the same info doesn’t help its case either. So if you’re a Karizma fan who is not looking to spend too much, then you can be happy with just the base variant as you’re not missing out on much when compared to the top variant.  That said, the Karizma still remains a strong contender in its category undercutting all of its primary rivals, the Bajaj Pulsar RS200, Yamaha R15, and the KTM RC200.
