The Pulsar NS125 has now become a lot more safer now

Bajaj Auto recently launched a new variant of the Pulsar NS125 and it is priced at Rs 1,06,739 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Bajaj Pulsar NS 125 has been on sale for quite some time now and the bike is now offered in three variants:

    • Pulsar NS 125 STD priced at Rs 99,994

    • Pulsar NS 125 LED BT priced at Rs 1,01,741

    • Pulsar NS 125 LED BT ABS priced at Rs 1,06,739

    (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi)

The bike now gets eight colour schemes spread across its variants: Fiery Orange, Pewter Grey, Burnt Red, Beach Blue, Black, Blue, Red and Orange. Here's an overview of what’s new and what’s unchanged:

    What's New?

The new variant of the Pulsar NS 125, now comes equipped with a single-channel ABS for increased safety. The addition of ABS to the bike will make it safer for our Indian roads. The ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) will help the rider to avoid crashes that happen due to locking of the wheels during hard, sudden or panic braking situations.

Before this, the Hero Xtreme 125R was the only bike in the 125cc segment to offer single-channel ABS as a variant. Now, with Bajaj introducing an ABS variant of the Pulsar NS 125, the bike will offer more competition to the 125cc segment as the segment leader TVS Raider too doesn't get ABS.

    What's Unchanged?

The bike retains the original silhouette of its bigger capacity sibling, the Pulsar NS200, and gets sharp styling elements with distinctive graphics on the body panels. The bike is still powered by a 124.4cc air-cooled engine producing 12PS of peak power at 8,500rpm and 11Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm. It comes paired to a 5-speed gearbox.

The bike gets a 240mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum brake and sits on 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. It gets a telescopic fork and a monoshock. On the features front, the bike gets an LED headlamp and a digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity, call and SMS alerts also.

The Pulsar NS125 is already a popular model and has a certain appeal to it that attracts newer bike buyers towards it. Now, with the addition of an ABS variant to the Pulsar NS 125 range, the bike has become much more relevant in the market and for a little bit of an extra premium, you can now get basic safety features in your bike.

      VERY GOOD PERFORMANCE
Service and maintenance charge is normal, mileage is 50 - 55 kmpl on highway, 45-50 kmpl in cities and streets. Overall, it is a quite good bike with good performance and minimal costs. Everyday rides upto hundred kms can be done easily, I ride daily around 80 kms and it is very easy for me and it's a sports bike even with only 125 CC engine.
