2016 Indian Chief Classic launched at Rs. 24 Lac

American motorcycle maker Indian Motorcycle today launched the 2016 version of its Chief Classic at the 2016 Auto Expo. The motorcycle which is a variant of its Chief line-up draws its cues from popular Indian motorcycles of yore to and revives the company’s traditional cruiser heritage while still offering the latest in technology.

The motorcycle is available at a price of Rs 24 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is powered by the company’s larger 1,811cc Thunder Stroke 111 v-twin engine that produces 139Nm of torque, at a low 2,600 rpm. The company launched the motorcycle in the Pearl White colour.

The Indian Chief Classic may be considered the bare-bones version of Chief, but that would be being too picky as it comes equipped with multiple advanced features including keyless ignition, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), cruise control, throttle-by-wire, among others.
