Harley Davidson Deluxe Latest Updates
14 June 2018: The Deluxe is more like a stripped down version of the Heritage Classic. But it is sure to garner a lot more attention than the latter thanks to acres of chrome spread all over the bike. The white wall tyres are eye candy, especially if you opt for the blue paint option. Apart from this, there are four more colours to choose from - black, dark red, white and bright red.
The all-LED headlamp unit is shared with the Fat Boy, Heritage Classic and Low Rider. Here, it is flanked by two chrome-finished auxiliary lamps as well. Many of its features and underpinnings are also shared with the Heritage Classic. These include the 19. 1-litre fuel tank, the semi-digital instrument console, the spoked wheels, and the double barrel single sided chrome exhaust.
Both Softail models are powered by Harley-Davidson’s all new 107 Milwaukee-Eight engine. This 45-degree, 1745cc, V-Twin engine produces 144Nm of torque at 3000rpm. The dual cradle frame has been made lighter for 2018, which makes the Deluxe feel very agile. The suspension setup consists of Showa Dual Bending Valve (SDBC) front forks and rear monoshock unit. They offers sublime ride quality, with the front being relatively stiff when compared to a softer rear setup. Also, the Deluxe comes with only the rider seat. The pillion seat is an optional extra. Braking is managed by an ABS-equipped single disc bake at both the front and rear.
The Harley-Davidson Deluxe has been priced at Rs 18. 65 lakh, which is Rs 1 lakh cheaper than the Heritage Classic (Rs 19. 71 lakh).
