    Pros & Cons

    • Pros
    • Cons
    • Royal Enfield Scram 440

      • Makes more power and torque than its predecessor
      • Comes with an alloy wheel variant to increase practicality
      • Gets an LED headlight which is better than the halogen from its predecessor

      Husqvarna Svartpilen 401

      • Looks properly premium with a very clean design
      • Extremely potent engine, that’s as fun as the KTM 390 Duke
      • Great high-speed handling
      • Light kerb weight and feature-packed console make living with the bike an easy affair
    • Royal Enfield Scram 440

      • The tripper navigation pod comes as an accessory but we feel it should have been offered as standard
      • The dry weight has gone up by 2kg and is now 187kg
      • Some riders might find it outdated because it is making use of the older Himalayan 411 chassis

      Husqvarna Svartpilen 401

      • Runs on tubed tyres because of the spoke wheels
      • Not really a true-blue scrambler

      Bikers story
Stylish design with bold looks, better options good height of the seat. The seat is very comfortable. I like the suspension of the bike, it's very comfortable in the hilly areas it also suits good with Indian road conditions. My ride so far was very comfortable with scram 440 with better mileage good suspension quality and the seat quality which makes it better for long rides the mileage also is quite well and the power which it creates makes it a unique one. Yes, I would like to personally recommend bike for adventure lovers, full like to take the bikes on the long tours and the rough terrain where there are silly roads where it challenge the bike and it will give you hundred percent result.

      The Perfect All Rounder
I wanted a do-it-all motorcycle. Something that I would love on the highway, and be comfortable with in the city as well. After a few test rides I was clear, that I preferred a thumper over a high revving machine. I stretched my budget from 2.5 lakhs to 2.75 lakhs (on-road) because this bike hit the sweet spot of balancing all that I needed. Upright riding posture, decent power to cruise, reliable brand and after sale support. The bike is smooth, powerful enough, and agile. It has just the right amount of everything. 100kmph in 6th gear on the highway, and great low end torque in the city, are things to love about this. Standing up and riding over bad roads feels like gliding through when others are carefully inching forward. My first service costed me under Rs. 1500 and the whole process was pretty seamless. The only concern one may have is the weight, at 196kg this bike is on the heavier side. 100% recommended. For anyone who has love for a thumper, powerful yet calm, sleek yet solid motorcycle. This bike is versatile, and checks all boxes for a single bike garage. Being part of the Royal Enfield ecosystem also has its share of advantages, easily serviceable, inexpensive and easily available spares make this purchase more sensible over alternatives.

      Skip the Scram
The Dominar 400 is old. The 250 Adventure is too high for my height. That is why I chose the Scram 440 in the same budget. I am almost 40 years old returning to motorcycling after 12 years. The bike seemed to have a character and an old school charm. The suspension is pathetic. The seat is pathetic. The handlebar ergonomics is not good. The engine is smooth and has character. Mileage is bad, first service is pending though. Headlight non existent. No. I can't recommend this bike unless you are an RE fan. I feel sorry for not buying the Dominar 400. Mileage is not good (1st service pending). Bad ergonomics. It's not possible to understand the ergonomic problems in a 1.5 km test ride.

Budget friendly city and touring bike
I thought to go for Himalayan 450 but budget was too high plus i am beginner with small legs so it was hard to handle. I bought this for 2.5 lacs. I choose this bike because of the service reach of royal Enfield. Even local shop know about this engine so it easy and trusted to do touring. I thought to buy truimph scrambler but budget and service reach while touring was my concern so i choose scram 440. I have ridden my bike for 22k kilometres. It best for touring in rainy and off-road terrain. We can cruise from 110 -120 for 400 km non stop. I have driven this bike till depth thanks to the High exhaust position. We can push to 135 but its not advisable in Indian road and emergency breaking at the speed with heavy bike is not possible. Its 19 inch wheels helps in city and long travel suspension helps in off-road. This bike is head Turner because no one knows about this model much. Yes, it best for those who go to office in city and long tour in bike as well . The low end torque is good and if you expect top speed, its not for you. I have travelled 1200 km in 2 days. If you want budget friendly 400cc touring motorcycle go for it .The free service cost is very low below 1 or 1.5 k. But after 20 km, its expensive (but less for a 400cc bike).

      MY SEVEN YEARS DREAM
I have been using this vehicle for the past four months and it has been a comfortable and smooth experience for both city rides and long drives the seating position is relaxed the suspension handles bumps well and the engine performance is consistent even on longer routes Its easy to maneuver in traffic and stable at higher speeds making it a great choice for daily commutes as well as weekend trips and i waited for seven years to buy a royal enfield bike and I think I made the right choice by purchasing this vehicle and if u are planning to buy this vehicle don't think just buy 😊😊

      Almost 2 year on Husqvarna
Husqvarna comes with an very exciting Swedish design with a very powerful ktm 390 engines. Single cylinder producing 39 nm tork and 47 bhp. It comes with a very comfortable seething and a beautiful mileage on highways of over 28 kmpl. You can get the feel of high pickups with smooyh sitting and and a less bumps on road. Comfort and speed both are very priceless on this vehicle.

      Best scrambler under this category
The bike looks great in itself and the feel on riding it in any type of terrain is just too smooth. If you are looking for a scrambler bike in this range you get three options of re scram 440, this and triumph scrambler. But beleive me the road presence of this bike is just too good, the feel, the speed, the pickup and the mileage all are pretty awesome.

      Loving it!
Honestly it's a pretty cool bike. The 2024 Svartpilen 401 has this rugged, minimalist scrambler vibe that stands out. It’s lightweight, packs enough punch for fun rides, and that quickshifter is a sweet bonus for the price. I really like how it blends urban aggression with some off-road capability, without going overboard.
