So bringing this bike with lower engine capacity is not that surprising. Here in India, the company has a 106cc Yamaha YBR. The engine type is 4 strokes, air cooled, single cylinder 2 valve, SOHC engine. This entry-level bike competes with Bajaj Discover, Hero Honda Splendor plus, Honda CB Twister, TVS Star City etc. Particularly, it competes with Bajaj Discover 100cc with its competitive price.

The 106cc mill of Yamaha YBR develops a peak power of 7.6 PS at 7,500 rpm and 7.85 Nm of top torque at 6,000 rpm. The bike has a 4 speed constant mesh gearbox. Yamaha YBR has been gifted with self and kicks start options. The bike sports alloy wheels and drum brakes at both end. The YBR is loaded with rear adjustable shocker. The fuel tank capacity of Yamaha YBR is of 13 litres with a 1.5 litres of reserve.

The appearance of the Yamaha YBR is not that much killing as other Yamaha bikes has. Only one thing is particular about the bike is its advanced features including self start, alloy wheels and rear adjustable fork. It does look same as Yamaha YBR 125 but a few panels and features are not available in India-bound YBR. The Yamaha YBR is packed with standard analogue dashboard which comprises fuel gauge, tachometer, tripmeter, speedometer along with standard indicators. The front face is quite impressive and rear view is like a sports machine. The silencer of the Yamaha YBR is in a new aggressive shape.
