Gladiator Expert Review
India Yamaha has all the weapons in its stable to compete in the Indian two-wheeler market but sometimes it works and sometimes not. This is the case with Yamaha's Yamaha Gladiator. It was launched with much fan-fare and claimed to change the scenario of the 125cc bike segment. However, it didn't happen so far but those who are looking for a stronger bike than a 100cc bike, must go for it as Yamaha Gladiator has awesome style and big bike feel. Lookwise, the bike gets hundred per cent marks in its class.
At present, Yamaha Gladiator comes in two variants called as Yamaha Gladiator SS and RS. SS stands for Sporty and Stylish and RS meant for Racing Style. Interestingly, there is no difference in both the variants except colour and graphic. According to market reports, Yamaha Gladiator SS is the best selling among its variants so far.

Yamaha Gladiator has a great number of industry first features in it including front disc brake, self start, engine cowl, sporty silencer, tank shrouds, toe gear shifter, self lubricating o-chain, aluminium retractable footpegs, Yamaha Throttle Position Sensor and the list goes on and on. Yamaha Gladiator SS is available in dual tone colours such as red and silver, silver and yellow, black and red while Yamaha RS comes in only Yamaha blue.
The stylish and sporty Yamaha Gladiator is powered by a 123.7cc of engine that is comprised of 4 stroke, air cooled, single cylinder, SOHC, 2 valve. It's powertrain produces a top power of 11 PS at 7,500 rpm and churns out a peak torque of 10.4 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Yamaha Gladiator incorporates five speed transmission and self start as well.
Yamaha Gladiator has sexy panels at front, side and rear side. The bike has analogue instrument panel in three dials. Most importantly, the bike has engine cowl which does two jobs, one allowing better air flow towards it and save it from mud etc. The rear side view of the machine is also sporty and eye-catching.
