10 December, 2010: Yamaha has launched its most awaited and world famed Yamaha FZ 1 in India at a price tag of Rs 8,70,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike is offered in two royal colours: black and white. The iconic bike is equipped with 998cc, DOHC, 5-valve, 4 cylinder, 4 stroke engine that belts out maximum power of 150 ps at 11,000 rpm and pumps out top torque of 106 Nm at 8,0000 rpm with the help of 6 speed gearbox. The FZ 1 has got front dual Hydraulic disc brake of 320 mm and rear Single hydraulic disc brake of 245 mm. The bike uses fuel injection system and electric start.

India Yamaha has entered in the Super bike segment long time back with Yamaha MT01 and Yamaha VMAX, it has added one more model to the sports range that is newly launched Yamaha FZ 1- a street bike. The company has launched this classy and trendy super bike with a price tag ot RS 8,70,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) in Indian two-wheeler market. The Yamaha FZ 1 has got racing inspired body shape and features accordingly. The company also produces a smaller 600cc version named as Yamaha FZ 6.

The new street bike Yamaha FZ has got better design treatment that previously launched Yamah VMAX. With its very irresistible looks and features, it attracts huge volume of super bike lover with hefty pockets. The new Yamaha FZ 1 is categorically designed for the premium sector riders.

The all new Yamaha FZ 1 is loaded with an engine capacity of 998 cc. The engine of the sporty Yamaha FZ 1 is loaded with a 4 stroke, forward inclined parallel 4 cylinder, liquid cooled, DOHC valve configuration and fuel injection system. The engine of the new Yamaha FZ 1 is very powerful and also a great performer. The powerful and dynamic engine of the new super bike produces an awesome top power of 150 PS at 11,000 rpm and churns out a maximum torque of 106 Nm at 8000 rpm.
