Raptee T 30

Raptee has been looking to launch its first electric motorcycle, the T30, for quite some time. In fact, it started deliveries in Chennai, then followed by Bengaluru in April 2026. The brand also plans to cover other  capital cities in southern states by the end of 2026, and also intends to enter states in the western part of the country.

The T30 claims to be quick, looks modern, tech-loaded and can charge in around 30 minutes with a DC charger. Does it deliver well on its claims, and can it be a game-changer for Indian electric motorcycles? Or does it need improvement before it becomes a credible choice for riders looking for a performance electric motorcycle. We find out:

Design (4/5)

Raptee T30 looks young and modern with its big plastic panels and minimal graphics in contrasting colours, giving it a sci-fi feel. At first glimpse, though, it will remind you of Bajaj Dominar 400, especially from the side profile. Not to say that the bike looks bad, a sporty touch for sure, but the inferences are obvious. 

Raptee T30 comes in 3 attractive colours- Arctic White, Eclipse Black and Mercury Grey. Personally, the bike looks great in Eclipse Black with fluorescent blue accents that just give the bike the Tron feel. 

Build Quality (4/5)

In terms of build quality, it is not among the best but gets the work done. Its plastic panels feel of decent quality but we found few irregular gaps between them. You might hear a bit of ruttling noise coming from panels while going on bad roads, but not to forget these were pre-production bikes and Raptee claims to improve the quality in production pieces.

Convenience Features

The Raptee T30 comes with a 7-inch colour TFT touchscreen with easy-to-use UI. Brightness is not an issue as the data can easily be read even under harsh sunlight. It also comes with 3 riding modes– Comfort, Power and Sprint. Other features include inbuilt navigation which works seamlessly, keyless entry and mobile connectivity.

It has 3 levels of regen, level 1 can be used at any level of charge but level 2 and 3 only get activated when the battery charge drops below 90%. Level 1 offers a free-rolling experience with a little regeneration, and level 3 regen decelerates sharply when you roll off the throttle. In our short experience, although we liked level 1 for the majority of the ride, level 2 felt the most natural and the state to be in for daily commutes. 

The T30 will also get cruise control eventually as currently the dedicated button for the feature is deactivated. 

Safety Features

The safety package of the T30 includes dual-channel ABS which is well tuned and safely brings the bike to halt. It gets hill hold assist to stop the motorcycle from rolling behind on a gradient surface and reverse mode to easily push the bike around in tight parking spots. It also  get TPMS to keep a check on tyre pressures.

Rider Comfort

Raptee T30 gets a well-padded seat that can be easily accessed for even shorter riders. The slightly rear-set foot pegs and easy to reach handlebar give the T30 a slight sporty yet comfortable riding posture. It is a rather large motorcycle, though. And hence, it weighs 177 kilos, which makes it a bit of a handful to move around in the parking lot. Although, on the move, it masks its weight rather well.

Pillion Comfort

The pillion seat is also plush but not large enough. Hence, it should be fine for city commutes but would not be a great option for longer travel.

Raptee T30 is definitely going to surprise you with its performance. It delivers peak power of 22kW and peak torque of 70Nm. Throttle response feels instantaneous and without any lag. It has 3 ride modes– Comfort, Power and Sprint. Comfort mode can be used when you want to extend the range and you are in no hurry to reach anywhere. Whereas Power mode feels the best suited for daily city commutes. And for spirited runs, you have the Sprint mode that claims to offer 0-60kmph acceleration time of  3.5seconds. 

City Performance 

While riding in the city, the Power mode felt well suited. In this mode, the T30 feels sufficiently fast to cope up with city traffic and yet balanced enough to not compromise highly on range. It felt quite lightweight while filtering through traffic which enhanced its manoeuvrability.

Highway Performance

Cruising on the highway is enjoyable in Sprint mode which offers quick acceleration. The motor doesn't feel stressed at all even while cruising at 100kmph. Even while pushing the bike at its top-speed of 135kmph it felt planted and stable. 

Battery and Range (3.5/5) 

It offers an IDC-claimed 200km from a 5.4kWh battery pack. The real world range claimed in Comfort mode is 150km, which drops to 100km in Power and 75km in Sprint mode. Considering the battery size and performance capabilities it possesses, the range seems adequate. However, as a whole, it could have had a larger battery pack, which would extend the range quite a bit more.

Charging Time

Where Raptee has an advantage over the rest of Indian electric motorcycles is that the T30 can be charged via a typical DC car fast charger (CCS2 charging hardware). This gives a 20%-80% charging time of just 36 minutes, which is significantly quicker than the standard portable home charger (one hour for the same SOC) offered with the bike. Charging costs will be higher via the DC fast charger, though. Guess that is a slight extra price to pay for the convenience. 

Handling

Raptee T30 offers relatively sharp handling, thanks to its short wheelbase (1420 mm) and low-set battery. The bike felt reasonably nimble in the city, not that much of a handful when cutting through traffic. 

Brakes

The bike comes with dual-channel ABS which is tuned well. Braking is very progressive but lacks feel. There is not much to complain about in performance but we would have liked a bit more lever feedback as it would have made the ride more assuring.

Ride Quality

The suspension setup on this bike is a bit on a firmer side. While going through bad roads, the front USD fork took major bumps quite well but the rear suspension turned out to be a bit firm. This problem is solved to some extent with a pillion but it will be a bit problematic for when you want to ride solo. 

Verdict 

Raptee T30 is an exciting electric motorcycle with all up-to-date features. It is a great combo of enticing performance, good handling, and humble range. The highlight remains the DC fast charging feature that increases its convenience factor. And it is priced reasonably well at Rs 2.39 lakh (ex-showroom Chennai). However, Raptee needs to get the suspension tune right before it becomes a motorcycle to consider getting home. And perhaps, another larger battery option will make it all the more usable for a lot more riding scenarios.

Raptee T 30 Vs Ultraviolette X-47

Currently, Raptee T30 competes directly with Ultraviolette X-47 Original, in terms of performance and features offered in almost similar price range.

Where X-47 is priced at Rs. 2.49Lakh (ex-showroom), it has a-lot more to offer. It gives an IDC-claimed range of 211km, better build quality and better acceleration. X-47 also gets Radar based ADAS which offers rear collision warning, lane change assist and blindspot detection.

On the other hand, X-47 takes 2 hours more to charge from 20%-80% and even with a Supernova charger it can be cut down to 40minutes. Raptee T30, which is priced at 2.39Lakh (ex-showroom chennai) is a great deal in itself.
