The two-wheeler sales report for January 2020 is out and, predictably, the Honda Activa has retained the number one sales spot when it comes to scooters. But perhaps even more noteworthy, the Suzuki Access 125 leads the number two spot by a comfortable margin of 15,906 units over the TVS Jupiter. The 125cc scooter was in number three position until November last year when it overtook the 100cc scooter by 8,121 units. In December 2019, the difference between the two dropped down to 1,311 units. The gap between the Access 125 and Jupiter has widened quite a lot since then.

There’s no doubt that the Suzuki Access 125 has always offered fantastic value but it is still surprising that a 125cc scooter has managed to outsell one of the best-selling 110cc scooters out there. With prices for the BS4 Access 125 starting at Rs 58,323 and going up to Rs 62,892 (SE edition), the 125cc scooter cost just Rs 3,000- Rs 4,000 more than the 110cc BS4 TVS Jupiter, whose prices range from Rs 55,349 to Rs 59,000.
Suzuki had launched the Access 125 BS6 in January 2020. The updated scooter got a fuel-injected BS6-compliant motor, new bodywork and features like an LED headlamp and external fuel-filler cap. On the other hand, TVS launched the Jupiter BS6 in November last year itself. Besides a fuel-injected motor, it received a new paint scheme, a tinted visor, a USB charger and a mobile cubby hole. While the Suzuki Access 125 BS6 cost around Rs 6,500 more than its BS4 predecessor, the Jupiter BS6 commanded a premium of around Rs 8,000 over its BS4 counterpart.
Interestingly, TVS is now the only major two-wheeler manufacturer that does not have a 125cc family scooter in its portfolio. Even Yamaha has migrated to 125cc BS6 scooters from the previous 113cc range. It remains to be seen if scooter customers in the future will prefer 125cc scooters over 110cc ones.

The Suzuki Access 125 ride connect is very smooth and reliable scooter. The pickup is good and the engine feels refined while riding in the city. The bluetooth feature is very useful because it connects with the Suzuki ride connect app and shows navigation on the speedometer. The seat is comfortable and the mileage is also good around 45-50km/l. The breaking with front disc and CBS is safe and responsive. Overall good. Everyone knows suzuki access is a good scooty. With regards to mileage, pick up and safety evrything is great. Looks stylish and seat capacity is also huge can easily accommodate 2 people. Headlight is amazing too in the darker roads upper and lower lights both work very well and have the capacity of capturing larger areas in dark atleast better as compared to other brands.Read More
Initially the stock battery was very worst, it used to dry very often. And sometimes there is a vibration when I start the vehicle and run on low rpm, even the showroom didn't rectify it.
