Reise Traverse Jacket And Pants Launched
It’s a set of gear meant for long-distance riding
Reise has launched the Traverse Adventure Touring All-Terrain Suit. The suit includes the Traverse jacket and Traverse pants, priced at Rs 21,999 and Rs 14,999, respectively.
Build and Protection
The jacket and pants are made of DuraTek Superfabric Shield with Kevlar-infused yarn reinforcements for abrasion resistance. The impact zones like the shoulders, elbows and hips are secured by Invista Cordura panels for extra abrasion resistance.
For crash protection, the jacket gets D3O Level 2 armour on the shoulders, elbows, chest and back. The pants have D3O Level 2 knee and hip protection The D3O doesn't restrain the movement and is said to have good impact absorption.
The pants also have a space to fit an optional SAS-TEC tailbone protector for all-round safety. The jacket and pants can be zipped together so that the jacket won't ride up in case of a crash.
Comfort and Storage
The set is claimed to have a good ventilation system to make it comfortable while riding in hot areas. The jacket gets large chest vents, forearm vents and vents at the back. The pants have vents on the tights and the sides.
For a more secure fit, the jacket has adjusters at the waist and arms, while the pants have them on the thighs and on the lower section. Cordura stretchable panels at the joints help with movement. Whereas expandable hem systems, long boot zips and built-in suspenders to make them comfortable.
Its waterproof front cargo pockets, hand warmer pockets, and rear utility compartment with drainage system enhance the practicality of the jacket. The jacket and pants also get reflective markings to keep the rider visible at night.
All in all, this is not your everyday riding gear. This is a set you might want to consider if you are planning a very long, multi-day ride that can have varied riding conditions.
