Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. (MTWL) has recorded a decline of 9.91% in the sales for December 2015. It sold 12,112 units last month as compared to 13,445 units sold in December 2014. The domestic sales accounted for 10,488 units delivered in December 2015 decreasing from 12,835 units sold in the corresponding month for previous year. Although there was a decline in overall sales, the company saw a rise in exports for December 2015 as it exported 1,624 units against 610 units in December 2014.

To further strengthen its hold in the Indian market, the company will be launching new Gusto 125 on January 12, 2016. It gets a 125cc engine which is expected to generate a power and torque of around 10bhp and 10Nm respectively. It is expected to feature a height adjustable seat, self-locking mechanism, quick storage pocket, multi-function remote flip key with find me beeper and guide lamps. Besides these interesting features, the kick lever has been provided at the front, so that one can start it easily while seating.

With the launch of Mahindra Mojo and a special edition of Gusto in October 2015, Mahindra registered 5.68% rise in sales for November. It sold a total of 19,088 units compared to 18,061 units sold in November 2014. At the launch event of Mojo, Dr. Pawan Goenka, Executive Director, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, "All of us at Mahindra are extremely proud of the MOJO. It has been developed in-house, with inputs from global partners and is designed to be on par with global products in this class. MOJO leverages deep consumer insights to serve many distinct needs of passionate biking enthusiasts. Testimony to this is the fact that we already have 100 invite based pre-bookings for the MOJO.”
