After a long waiting period of more than an year, Mahindra Two wheelers has finally added the Disc Brake version of Centuro to its fleet, which is the new top of the line variant with a price tag of Rs. 52,300 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike was showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo in February and announced to be launched soon. However, it took more than a year to make entry in the market with a front disc brake.

Is the new Centuro Disc Brake also blessed with the other top notch features of the series like remote key fob, digital console and anti theft alarm? We don’t think so, it has been priced just Rs. 200 over the previous top variant- O1, which comes with all these premium features. It means that apart from the front disc brake, it is the same N1 variant, which costs around Rs. 3,200 lesser than the new one.

So, the latest Mahindra Centuro Disc Brake just misses the digital dashboard and engine belly pan. The bike retains other premium features including, remote flip key, anti-theft alarm, find me lamps and guide lamps. There isn't any other cosmetic change in the motorcycle apart from re-styled graphic pattern.

Mahindra Centuro sports a 106.7cc MCi-5 (Micro Chip ignited - 5 Curve) engine, which has been engineered to smartly balance power and fuel economy. It comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox and makes upto 8.4bhp of power and a peak torque of 8.5Nm. With this new version, Mahindra Centuro has became one of the few offerings in the 100cc commuter segment which comes with a disc brake option.

Amazing Bike

This bike is stylish and comfortable to use for any person, as well as mileage is 76/l. The features are also good. Please restart the production on this bike. The feeling is better than HF Deluxe and Honda Shine, Unicorn, Splendor, and all Hero bikes. Mahindra is the heart of the nation.Read More
