The Lenovo M2 has been launched in the Philippines

  • The Lenovo M2 electric kick scooter is priced at PHP 19,995 (approximately Rs 29,800).
  • Offers a range of 30km and a top speed of 25kmph.
  • Is foldable for easy portability.

Lenovo has launched the Lenovo M2, its first electric kick scooter, in the Philippines at PHP 19,995, which is almost Rs 29,800. But for all bookings made from March 18-27, prices are slashed to PHP 16,995 (about Rs 25,300). That aside, customers also get a Herschel backpack and Lenovo TrackPods (wireless earbuds). Deliveries will commence from March 27.

The Lenovo M2 is lightweight, tipping the scales at 15kg. Also, it is foldable, so carrying it around won’t be much of a hassle. The electric scooter is powered by a 350W motor linked to a 36V 7.5Ah battery, offering a top speed of 25kmph and a range of 30km. These figures are more than enough for the purpose. Oh, it can carry up to 120kg, and the battery can be charged within three to four hours.

You even have a tiny shock absorber below the steering head up front and a pair of hidden dampers for the rear wheel. The non-pneumatic tyres also get honeycomb construction for added shock absorption. Lenovo has gone overboard with the braking too; apart from the motor-integrated brake, there’s a disc at the rear and a mechanical pedal brake as well.

Topping it all off is a cruise control system and a smartphone-compatible LED display that shows the range, speed, and the likes. Overall, the Lenovo M2 is loaded to the brim with features, especially considering the price you pay. It’s perfect for last-mile connectivity, particularly for those whose workplaces, schools, or colleges aren’t very far away. In related news, Ducati had also launched its range of electric kick scooters in May last year.
