This New Year has brought twin reasons of celebration for the legendary Auto manufacturing company from Japan, Honda Motors. Yesterday was the unveil day for two of its new bikes Honda Bikes, Honda Dream Yuga and Honda CBR 150R in the ongoing Auto Expo 2012 at New Delhi. On the same day it’s highly anticipated variant, Honda CBR 250R was honored with an award of "The Indian Motorcycle of the Year 2012". Every year Indian Auto industry presents awards in two segments of best car and best motorcycle of the year. This time, it was grabbed by Maruti Suzuki Swift in the car segment and by Honda CBR 250 R from Honda Motors in motorcycle segment.
This award can be considered as one of the biggest achievement by Honda Motors especially after termination of its joint alliance with Hero Motors of India, and it will also strengthen position of CBR 250R in superbike segment of Indian two wheeler market. Features adorned in Honda CBR 250R include 250cc liquid cooled 4 stroke DOHC single cylinder engine that churns out maximum power of 26 BHP at 8500 rpm and torque of 23 Nm at 7000 rpm. At present two variants of CBR 250R are available in market one with anti breaking system (ABS) and the other one with non anti breaking system. The price of Anti Breaking variant is Rs 1.70 lakhs and price of non anti breaking system is Rs 1.45 lakh.
Physically the front section of Honda CBR 250R carries aerodynamic design which is capable of easily ruling over the hearts of every one with its first look. The multi-reflector headlamp supports clear visibility while riding bike during night and during worst weather situation. The boarder and bold mask results in giving Honda CBR 250 more aggressive and sporty look. Besides this CBR 250 is enriched with wide array of various awesome features which undoubtedly makes it suitable for being honored as Motorcycle of the Year 2012.
