Hero Vida e-Scooter To Launch Today

Here’s all that we know about the e-scooter

[Update: The Hero Vida V1 electric scooter has been launched in India. For pricing, features and other details, take a look at the launch report.]

Hero MotoCorp’s electric sub-brand, Vida, is finally set to debut today with the launch of its first electric scooter. Interestingly, a Hero scooter was spied under heavy camouflage and shortly after, a teaser was released on Hero’s social media platform.

Sadly, the details and specifications of the e-scooter haven’t been revealed yet, however, we do know that it will be getting Gogoro’s battery swapping technology. In terms of design, the Vida e-scooter is likely to get a fresh, minimalist design language which will be rather unlike any other Hero scooter.

Interestingly, the illustration of the scooter in the teaser strongly resembles the Gogoro S1 e-scooter, while the scooter seen earlier comes with a sleek design

For more details on the Hero Vida e-scooter, check out our wrapup story here.

Expect the e-scooter to carry a price tag of Rs 1 lakh ex-showroom and go up against the likes of Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube Electric.

V1 Pro- Should you Buy ?

Real world mileage if you run it in eco mode, won't give you 90 km in single charge, even the v2 pro model. However since I bought, I did not spend single penny on maintenance. Other negatives: Vida has not released any software update so far over ota, don't have option to change speedometer dashboard skin, most of the features won't work in app. Keyless: should have an option for key. Should have turn indicator buzzer. You have to be cautious while washing your scooter sometime switch won't work until it gets completely dried.Read More

Best removable battery scooter.

I am owning VidaV1 from past 1+ year. I see it is best in built quality and riding comfortability. It has good space for carrying. Very important feature which is the one help me a lot is removable battery. I moved from one rented home to other and at new home no charging facilities at basement. I can carry battery to 3rd floor and charge, with this Vida V1. Thanks for the great features. Read More
