Two of the e-scooters claim a top speed of 85kmph and 150km of range

Hyderabad-based EV manufacturer EVeium has launched three electric scooters in India and they are: Cosmo, priced at Rs 1.44 lakh, Comet at Rs 1.92 lakh and Czar at 2.16 lakh (prices are ex-showroom India). The three e-scooters pack an interesting set of features, with impressive range and a decent top speed.

The EVeium Cosmo and Comet adopt a neo-retro design, which resembles the Yamaha Fascino 125. Both scooters get minimalistic styling and their retro appeal is accentuated by circular headlights and rounded body panels.

The Czar, on the other hand, gets a properly old school retro scooter styling and resembles the original Vespa scooter. It gets a single-piece narrow seat and a really simple body styling with a unibody design. Completing the retro appeal are the retro-style headlight and taillights, and circular rear-view mirrors.

With a 2kW BLDC hub motor paired with a 2.16kWh Lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery pack, the Cosmo claims a top speed of 65kmph and 80km of range. The Comet and Czar claim 85kmph top speed and 150km range. However, they both get different battery packs and power outputs. The Comet gets a 3kW BLDC hub motor paired with a 3.6kWh Lithium-ion battery pack and the Czar gets the most powerful motor with a maximum output of 4kW, paired with a 3.024kWh Li-ion battery pack.

While the Cosmo and Comet get a telescopic fork suspension setup, the Czar goes purely old school with a link-type suspension up front. The Czar gets a disc at both ends for braking, however, the Cosmo and Comet are available with a disc brake only up front. That said, details on the rear brake setup on Cosmo and Comet and the rear suspension of all three e-scooters have not yet been revealed.

The e-scooters come packed with features including an LCD digital instrument cluster with mobile app connectivity along with find my vehicle functionality, real time tracking, geofencing, keyless start and overspeed alert. Other notable features include three ride modes (Eco, Normal and Sport), an anti-theft feature and regenerative braking.

With the claimed range, performance figures and features, the e-scooters will rival premium electric scooters in India like the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube Electric and Okinawa Okhi90.
