The Yo Edge DX is the cheapest electric scooter from the Gujarat-based EV startup. It is a low-speed electric scooter that does not require registration or licence to ride.

The Yo Edge DX is available in lead acid battery or lithium-ion battery variants, with prices starting from Rs 49,000 (on-road). The electric scooter comes in five colour options: Black, White, Blue, Green, and Red.
Yo Edge DX Key Features
The Yo Edge DX comes with an LED headlight with LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), along with an LED instrument cluster that houses the speedometer, battery level indicator, odometer and tell-tale lights. It also comes with a USB charging port, a 3-in-1 locking key slot, a keyfob for keyless operation, and also three riding modes, including a reverse mode. That said, providing riding modes for an electric scooter whose top-speed is limited to just 25kmph feels like an overkill.
Yo Edge DX Motor and Battery
Powering the Yo Edge DX is a 250W Brushless DC (BLDC) motor. It can achieve a top speed of 25kmph, so there's no need to have a licence to ride, nor does it require a registration. The claimed range is 60km.
The scooter uses two types of batteries: 20Ah lithium-ion battery pack or a 24Ah lead acid battery pack. The lithium-ion variant takes 3-4 hours to charge whereas the lead-acid battery variant takes 7-9 hours.
Yo Edge DX Suspension and Brakes
The Yo Edge DX comes with a telescopic fork and twin rear shock absorbers. Braking is via a 220mm disc at the front, while the rear gets a 110mm drum. The electric scooter gets 10-inch alloy wheels wrapped with 3-inch tubeless tyres.
