Overview

Triumph India has launched the 2019 Street Scrambler at Rs 8.55 lakh (ex-showroom) which is Rs 5,000 less than its previous iteration. The updated motorcycle was first showcased at the 2018 Intermot show in Cologne, Germany. It features minor design tweaks and a comprehensive set of mechanical updates. They include a redesigned Triumph logo on the fuel tank and side panels, a two-tone paint finish on the fuel tank and minor touches like a refreshed instrument console and brushed aluminium headlamp brackets.

It's 900cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor gets a lighter magnesium cover, lighter clutch and crankshaft plus a balancer shaft for improved refinement. Power is up from 55PS to 65PS while torque output remains the same at 80Nm. Lighter engine internals has allowed Triumph to increase rev limit by 500rpm, to 7500rpm. A significant update is the inclusion of two new rider modes: Road and Rain and Off-road.

The Street Scrambler now get new and wider spaced 41mm KYB front forks that get internal cartridge damping units. The rear still gets a conventional KYB monoshock. Improved braking is courtesy a new Brembo four-piston front caliper instead of the previous Nissin two-piston caliper. The rear Nissin calliper remains unchanged.

The Triumph Street Scrambler rivals the Ducati Scrambler which is due for an update this year.

Handling & Ride Quality

The front rake and trail have increased 24.3 degrees and 98.7mm respectively for better stability. The suspension setup is similar to the Street twin though the rear shocks get more travel. New for 2019 is wider spaced KTB internal cartridge forks. Braking is via a single front and single rear disc. You now have a Brembo four-piston caliper upfront instead of the previous Nissin two-piston caliper unit. It gets ABS that can be switched off.

Triumph Scrambler 900: Cool But Quirky

I've been riding the Triumph Scrambler 900 Gold Line for 6 months now. It looks great and feels solid on the road. The gold detailing really stands out. It's smooth in the city and fun on highways. Downsides? The exhaust gets hot in traffic, it's heavy at low speeds, and the suspension isn't great on rough roads. Tech is basic for the price. It's not perfect, but I still enjoy every ride. It has real character.Read More

Mileage thoda jyada hona chahiye...lekin aap 900cc ke bike se jyada milage expect nahi krna... Suspension accha hai... Headlight low aur high beam dono pe acche hai... Aur sabse jyada pyari hai iski exhaust... Just badass... Showroom me isko dekhne jaaoge aur iski awaaz sunte toh aisa lagega jaise ye bike mardon ke liye bani hai... Iska compition ka koi bhi bike nahi hai Iss price range meRead More

    Awesome Bike With Great Features

Triumph Motorcycles introduced just the XC variant of the new Triumph Scrambler 1200, and we spent a day in the Himalayan foothills, over twisty mountain roads, gravel and rocky trails to check out how off-road capable the bigger scrambler is. It was an enjoyable day riding a motorcycle in terrain. It is designed to tackle, and needless to say, we were impressed! Read More
