With Hero MotoCorp finally stepping into the world of electric mobility with the swanky new Vida V1 electric scooter, here’s everything you need to know from booking the scooter, to its delivery timelines along with its service details.

Price And Booking Details

Tha Vida V1 is available in two variants – V1 Plus and V1 Pro – which are priced at Rs 1,45,000 and Rs 1,59,000 (ex-showroom) respectively.

Hero has announced that the Vida V1 scooter will be launched in a phased manner, starting with Delhi, Bengaluru and Jaipur. That said, the company has also announced that it would be opening pop-up stores in malls along with experience centres across the country. Hero is also offering a seamless financing platform, with interest rates 1.5-2 percent lower than other financing options in the market.

The Vida V1 will also be available for test rides, the durations of which can be extended to a whopping three days! Also, a 70% buyback assurance for 16-18 months is also in the offering. Bookings for both the variants of the Vida V1 begin from October 10 for a token amount of Rs 2,499. These bookings can also be done online.

Delivery Timeline

Hero has stated that the deliveries for both the variants of the Vida V1 will begin from the second week of December. Considering that the launch is taking place in a phase manner, expect the deliveries to also follow the same structure.

Service & Charging Details

In addition to launching the Vida V1, Hero has created a Vida ecosystem, through which the user gets a whole range of diagnostic services, along with information about the Vida fast-charging network. With the Vida V1 being connected to the cloud, a smartphone application provides the user information about remote diagnostics and any early anomalies being detected.

While the company offers roadside assistance along with pick-up and delivery of the Vida V1, it has also rolled out a ‘Repair On Site’ service, wherein a technician would be able to access information about the scooter and repair it remotely or physically at the owner’s home.

The Fast Charging time from 0-80% is less than 65 minutes, while home charging time from 0-80% is 5 hour, 15 minutes for the V1 Plus and 5 hours, 55 minutes for the V1 Pro. In a related development, Hero MotoCorp and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) had earlier announced their collaboration to set up charging infrastructure across the country for electric two-wheelers.
