Suzuki motorcycles to establish new plant in Haryana

Suzuki motortcycles, a subsidiary of Japanese Multinational Corporation, Suzuki Motors, are on the urge of expanding their business by setting a new plant in Haryana at Rohtak. The state government of Haryana has approved a budget worth of Rs. 2,000 crore that would be used to manufacture a large quantity of units. The company has manufactured a large number of bikes for its Indian customers  among which most fall under 125 cc category. The launch of Suzuki Access 125 brings stability in the sales of Suzuki and it got grand success as Access 125 was liked by both the sexes.

The plants of Hero MotoCorp and Harley Davidson are already set up in Haryana and after the announcement of Suzuki to set up a new plant in Haryana it seems that Haryana has become the a famous hub for two-wheeler manufactuers. Suzuki motorcycles has quite competent line up of two wheelers in Indian market like Suzuki GS150, which was a 150 cc bike, and Access 125 which won lot of appreciation and liking by the users. According to a Suzuki official, it is disclosed that the company will invest a sum of Rs. 500 crore in the first phase which will be completed with the production of 5 lakh units at the end of year 2014. Suzuki has decided to complete the total project in three phases and the amount of all the three phases will be sum up to Rs. 2,000 crore approximately.

The new plant is expected to start from 2014 providing a direct employment opportunity to around 4000 people with indirect employment for thousands of persons near the region. The new plant of Suzuki will boost up the production capacity which will be 2 million units by the end of the year 2019. Suzuki is among the largest two wheeler manufacturing companies which is rendering its services in India since a long time. Suzuki produces bikes and scooters covering almost all the segments thus establishing a good brand name in the market.
