Suzuki Hayabusa to get cheaper by Rs. 5 lacs; Courtesy Local Production

Indian two-wheeler industry plays a major role for all the motorcycle manufacturers in the world and as the market has started returning a great response to the high-end bikes, Suzuki has decided to set-up its legend- Hayabusa’s production here. This is announced that the bike will get a price slash of upto Rs. 5 lac if the production goes domestic. Currently the bike is being imported in India via Complete Knockdown Unit (CBU) route and sports a price tag of Rs. 15.95 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Suzuki Hayabusa is counted as one of the fastest production motorcycles. The manufacturer has employed a 1340cc, 4-Stroke, 4-Cylinder, Liquid-cooled, DOHC engine to make it a show-stopper. Coupled with a 6-speed constant mesh transmission system, the motor is configured to produce 173bhp of power and 104Nm of torque. It is said that it takes less than 3 seconds to sprint from 0-100kmph, while the top speed of the bike is restricted to 299kmph.

Suzuki Hayabusa brings along KYB inverted cartridge forks at the front and Link Type, Coil Spring, Oil Damped suspension at the rear. The bike boasts of a 190mm wide rear and 120mm front tubeless tyres that house twin front disc brakes and single rear disc brake. The responsive brakes are further applied with Anti-lock braking system that helps the rider to control the thrilling and exciting ride.

Being the first litre-class motorcycle of the country, the machine is already treated as a superstar and if the price comes down, it will be a huge advantage for the manufacturer.
