To be fair the Pursang E-Track comes with exorbitant carbon-fibre components

Features three non-removable battery packs. It uses an 11kW Bosch-powered electric motor and has a claimed range of 140km per charge.  Company will produce only 24 bikes for the first batch.

Most of us have never heard of Pursang Motorcycles, but the Spanish brand has been around since 1967. However, it was a short stint of just 17 years before the company had to shut shop. That said, Pursang Motorcycles has now made its way back into the electric two-wheeler fray thanks to visionary Jim Palau-Ribes. And the first product to be offered from the company is the E-Track, an urban scrambler that features carbon-fibre components and a Bosch electric motor.

According to the brand, the E-Track will have a limited run of just 24 units for the first batch. Each motorcycle will come finished with carbon-fibre bodywork. It’s powered by an 11kW Bosch electric motor that offers a top speed of 120 kmph which puts it on par with ICE-powered 150-160cc motorcycles in India.

The E-Track features three non-removable battery packs that deliver a claimed range of 140km which should be more than enough for your daily runabouts. What isn’t clear is at what speeds the E-Track can deliver this result. The bike even gets a full-colour TFT display with control cubes on the left-hand side switchgear which means it could come with different power modes. Other notable features include LED lights all around and spoked wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tyres.

In terms of hardware, the E-Track comes equipped with an upside-down fork, a monoshock, and petal disc brakes at both ends. It weighs in at 147kg kerb, which is on the heavier side for an electric motorcycle. As for its price, the Pursang E-Track will set you back by €13,700, which is equivalent to a jaw-dropping Rs 11.76 lakh in India.
