Mahindra has launched an affordable variant of its most fuel efficient commuter, Centuro at Rs.45,700. By omitting few of the bike's features that resulted in the reduction of the price by Rs.2000, gave the birth to a new variant, Centuro N1.
Now the base variant of the Centuro N1 misses out the classy digital cluster, including distance-to-empty and service indicator feature, while the manufacturer has placed an analog console in its place. The bike still comes equipped with feature such as unique muscular Golden ribs, remote flipkey with key light, anti-theft alarm, find me lamp and Guide lamps.
Mahindra has carried forward the same single cylinder, 4-stoke, air-cooled, MCI-5 engine with the displacement of 106.7cc. The engine is mated with the 4-speed constant mesh. Top power outcome of the engine is 8.5Ps at 7500rpm and top torque value is 8.5Nm at 5500rpm. The company has claimed that this bike will be delivering a mileage of 85.4kmpl, that is astonishing. The bike has a volume of 12.7 liters in its tank.
Mahindra Centuro N1 has the same specifications as the one of its top variant. Its overall dimensions are 2031mm x 780mm x 1111mm. The minimum ground clearance, wheelbase and kerb weight of the bike are 173mm, 1265 and 120kg. Enveloped on a double cradle – tubular structure, this machine is also coupled with the 2.75 x 18 inch front tyre and 3.0 x 18 inch rear tyre that are embedded with the 130mm drum brake at both the ends. Suspension working at the front is Telescopic hydraulic-damped and rear coiled spring that is 5 step adjustable.
Offering Centuro at a lower price makes it competitive among several bikes like Hero Motocorp Splendor, Honda Dream Neo, etc available in its segment.

The Mahindra Centuro was a good motorcycle, but it competed with Splendor and Platina.
The Mahindra bike is a very nice bike, offering comfort, good mileage, and an attractive look. Additionally, this bike has a long seat, suitable for a family.
This bike is stylish and comfortable to use for any person, as well as mileage is 76/l. The features are also good. Please restart the production on this bike. The feeling is better than HF Deluxe and Honda Shine, Unicorn, Splendor, and all Hero bikes. Mahindra is the heart of the nation.
