The only Indian to finish Dakar Rally, CS Santosh shared his riding experience and taking safety sessions during the biggest motorcycle carnival of the nation, India Bike Week 2016. He is one of the handful names in the Indian Motorsports that most people recognize. He came into limelight when TVS Racing scouts picked him after he finished second at a National Dirt Championship. TVS Sponsored him in 2005 and he won the championship, but it wasn’t quite enough to satisfy his adventure thrust. Therefore, he went ahead and participated in Asian Motocross Championship in the Philippines.

In his first attempt, our local Hero finished at the tenth spot, but thanks to his determination, he was able to get fourth place in the next championship. Since then, he never looked back and added a lot of feathers to his cap. Like any other champion, he too has successfully overcome the injuries and crashed those he had while racing. During one of his races - his fuel tank exploded, engulfed the bike in flames and left him with third-degree burns. It was his love for the bikes that made him come back in three months and win Cross Country Rally Championship.
