Kawasaki J125 Scooter Makes World Debut at 2015 EICMA

Kawasaki has officially unveiled its sharp looking, light 125cc scooter - J125 at the 73rd Milan Motorcycle Show. Featuring an aggressive body styling, the chassis of the scooter has been designed particularly for the streets of Europe. Packed with numerous convenience features, the J125 will be sold alongside its elder sibling J300.

Kawasaki J125 is powered by a 125cc, liquid-cooled, SOHC, single-cylinder engine that churns out 13.8hp of power and 12Nm of torque coupled with a stepless transmission. The scooter receives all features just like the J300 that comes by the name of Kymco Downtown 300i. Talking of suspension, the vehicle has been bestowed with telescopic forks at the front and five-step adjustable twin shock absorbers at the rear. As for braking, the J125 comes with a 260mm petal disc brake with twin-piston calliper up front and 240mm disc brake at the rear. The company will be offering it in two versions - with and without ABS.

The scooter gets a stylish front end along with LED tail lamp unit at the rear. Besides this, Kawasaki has equipped the vehicle with a silver dual-tone seat that adds up to the style quotient. The analog-digital instrument cluster comprises of two dials along with a blue lit screen that displays other information. The manufacturer has also taken care of rider convenience and has aided the scooter with a massive under seat storage that can accommodate a full face helmet and an A4 size briefcase.

Kawasaki J125 has also been equipped with an anti-tamper, anti-theft ignition switch for security. The front glove box has a 12V socket and a cargo hook along with a rear carrier comes handy with the scooter. The 182kg scooter has been fitted with a 13-liter fuel tank to support longer rides with ease. Once launched, the scooter will be marketed in three colours namely Metallic Anthracite Black, Metallic Frosted Ice White and Metallic Flat Anthracite Black.
