DSK-Hyosung will stamp its presence on the 2016 Auto Expo in February with the new GT300R serving as its central attraction. Yes, the company is going to debut the replacement of its fully-faired GT250R at the upcoming Auto Expo, which is expected to be launched in the country by mid-2016.

The 2016 Hyosung GT300R has already unveiled at the 73rd EICMA in Milan, Italy and it breaks away from its predecessor in terms of looks. The manufacturer is also planning to bring an updated version of its larger capacity GT650R, which shares its design language with its new younger sibling - GT300R.

The 2016 Hyosung GT series models feature a more aerodynamic styling with split pattern headlamps and a clear wind visor. Other style elements of the bike include split seats, clip-on handlebars, masculine fuel tank, new split-spoke alloy wheels and much more.

Powering the GT300R is a new 275cc, 75-degree V-twin engine that generates 27.6bhp of maximum power at 10,500 rpm along with 23.5Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. The motor is fed by an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system and comes coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The new model is also lighter than its predecessor that will further help it increase performance.

The suspension setup of Hyosung GT300R comprises USD telescopic forks at the front and an adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Both, front and rear, wheels of the bike have been equipped with a petal disc brake to provide sufficient braking performance in line with the quarter-litre class standard.

The price of the upcoming GT300R is expected to be slightly higher than the existing GT250R and the new model will directly compete with Yamaha R3, KTM RC 390 and Kawasaki Ninja 300 in the market.
