Hero Smart Step-thru launched

Hero Motors a wing of Hero Group has launched a Step-Thru in Indian market. The name of launched bikes cum scooter is Hero Smart. The Hero Smart is priced at Rs. 35000 in Tamil Nadu market. After Tamil Nadu market, the bike would be launched in other markets in India. The new product will take on TVS Scooty range.

Hero Motors, after splitting from Honda is going to produce its branded vehicles through its marketing strategy. The Hero is spreading its wings across Tamil Nadu and targeting to rural areas, and the company is to set its sub-dealers.

Hero is the India's leading cycle manufacturer which is now going to enter in two-wheeler/Motorcycle segment. At present, Hero group and Honda Motors which has a joint venture with name of Hero Honda is manufacturing above 4.5 million two wheelers. 

Recently launched Hero Smart is a four stroke engine step-thru which might be very fuel economical in the segment. After launching this bike, the company is planning to launch a new bike named 'Hero Thai' in the Indian market in the next year. This new bike will be very useful for college going students and women.

As per insiders of the company, two lakh units of the Hero Smart will be manufactured by the month of March this year and 30000 units would be exported in the overseas markets. This newly launched Hero Smart has more features than Hero Honda Street which was launched by Hero Honda.
