The company also plans to setup manufacturing and assembly facilities in the North America with the help of EBR.

Last month, Hero showcased its popular vehicles including Hunk, Karizma ZMR, the updated HF Deluxe Eco, Splendor Pro and the Pleasure scooter at the American international Motorcycle Expo, where the company make a launch announcement in the form of press release given by EBR. According to the PR, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of the company Mr Pawan Munjal quoted in the press release, "EBR will be distributing Hero motorcycles in the United States and Canada on an exclusive basis starting summer of 2014." Spokesperson at the Expo said, "Specific details on the range to be offered and pricing details have yet to be determined."

Earlier, Mr Munjal had said,"While the US is primarily seen as a market for heavier bikes, I am convinced that smaller two-wheelers in the range of 100cc to 250cc can also be successful in the US and other North American markets. Our fully-owned new overseas subsidiaries such as the one in the US and in the Netherlands will play important roles in our future overseas acquisitions and investments."

All these announcement describes that Hero is planning something bigger and exclusive for the US, and the company is going aggressively towards its strategy of global expansion.
