To mark its strong presence in Auto Expo, Hero has unveiled India’s first hybrid scooter Hero LEAP yesterday in Auto Expo. This scooter will prove to be the best mix, as it will run on both battery as well as petrol. Through this launch, Hero showcased its intent and vision for the future. According to reports, Munjals headed Hero has been looking up for new partners to provide them technical assistance in manufacturing their new vehicles and unveiling of Hero Leap is an illustration of one such upcoming alliance.

Reports also reveal that Hero intends to design this new hybrid scooter totally a commercial products and wishes to launch it throughout the globe, besides launching it Indian market. As is known that technical features have been key feature for sustaining strong position in every market specially in Indian two wheeler market, and due to this Hero is intensively looking for some capable partner who can assist them in technically upgrading their new vehicles in two wheeler segment. However, according to conditions of alliance between Hero and Honda Motors, Hero can use Honda’s goodwill behind its name till 2014.

Moreover, Honda is also not in mood to assist its erstwhile partner in any way for manufacturing its new upcoming two wheelers in market. This means that it is for technical assistance Hero is looking for new partners. Inspite of providing suitable platform for Auto manufacturing companies to unveil their upcoming products among the audiences. It seems that ongoing Auto Expo 2012 is now emerging as boxing ring where companies are launching their new products with an intention to prove their superiority over their rivals. Moreover, companies which year back had unveiled their products in their joint alliance during last Auto Expo are now standing against each other to prove their supremacy. The latest news is coming up from Hero which after termination of its alliance with Honda Motors is endeavoring hard to fill the space left by its Japanese partner.
