The XCR300 is based on Haojue’s 300cc naked bike, the DR300

The new Haojue XCR300 was unveiled at the China International Motorcycle Expo. It gets an all-new design with muscular shrouds, twin exhausts, and a small visor upfront. Powered by a 298cc twin-cylinder engine putting out 28.8PS and 27.8Nm.

Haojue, the Chinese partner company of Suzuki Motorcycles, has unveiled its new naked motorcycle, the XCR300, at the China International Motorcycle Expo. In Haojue’s lineup, the XCR300 sits below the DR300, serving as a more relaxed city/touring alternative to the latter.

The XCR300 gets an all-new design. Up front, you have a sleek, split LED headlamp reminiscent of the Kawasaki Z1000, along with a short visor that seems more gimmicky than purposeful. Adding some muscle to the design is a big 16-litre fuel tank, a wide, flowing single-piece seat with integrated grab handles, and twin exhausts.

As mentioned above, unlike the DR300, this one is more city/touring-oriented, evident from its tall handlebar, low 785mm seat, and centre-set footpegs.

Features on the XCR300 include a 41mm KYB-sourced USD fork, slipper clutch, ABS, all-LED illumination, and a fully digital negative LCD instrument cluster -- all borrowed from the DR300.

The XCR300 is powered by a 298cc twin-cylinder engine (putting out 28.8PS and 27.8Nm) mated to a six-speed transmission.

Meanwhile, to help cut speed, the XCR300 employs single petal discs at both ends with Nissin calipers. And to ensure optimal grip levels, Haojue has wrapped the alloy wheels in premium Pirelli Rosso 3 tyres.

The Haojue XCR300 is priced at Rs 3.23 lakh in China. This is pretty high by Indian standards, but not something we should be concerned about as the XCR doesn’t meet Euro-5 emission norms, thus eliminating any scope of its India-arrival.
