E-bikes to be unveiled in India by Electrotherm

India’s largest manufacturer of electric battery, Electrotherm Indian Limited, the innovator of E-bikes in India, is planning to unveil electric bikes in India, according to the latest media reports. sources has said," The company already uses an in-house technology for electric bikes. It's to be remarked here that the company has already a battery plant in China with a production capacity of 3,000 kilo-watt-hour(kvh) per month, which delivers 2,000 electric-run vehicle. Presently, Electrotherm expand all the batteries manufactured by the Chinese. Therefore, it's sure that the new porposed plant in Gujarat, there would be capacity of 7,500 kvh which is enough for 6,000 scooters per month. Electrotherm (India) first introduced an electric two-wheeler called as YObykes in February 2006. The company has established its strong connectivity to the customers base of more than 75,000. Electrotherm also sets up wide network of dealers, more than 200 YOpoints and YOworlds in the country. The company has a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Kutch with an installed capacity of 2,88,000 vehicles. Noted that at the 10th Delhi Auto Expo 2010, Electrotherm launched 'Weaver Alpha' battery which is a unique assemble enabling it to make much more cycle-life against standard lead acid batteries, leading to lower range for the customer. Electrotherm battery manufacturer operated two-wheeler, has released this radical technology based battery product for domestic market. This new range of batteries assist the process of charging by reducing almost half time. Weaver Alpha Bipolar batteries all set to inspire electric battery operated 2 wheelers market by delivering improved performance over traditional lead acid batteries. Meanwhile, TVS Motors will rolled out its gearless scooter Wego in the market. Besides, Yamaha's also intends to launch its premium bike YZF R125 in India.
