BREAKING: Mahindra Mojo 300 BS6 Revealed, Gets New Paint Schemes

The upcoming BS6 compliant tourer also gets dual-channel ABS

• Expected to be launched next week.

• UT variant likely to launch first. 

Mahindra has revealed the Mojo 300 BS6 ahead of its launch. It now gets two new colour options: Garnet Black and Ruby Red. Both colour schemes look way sportier than before. The Mojo 300 gets an updated BS6 motor and is expected to launch next week. Pricing is expected to be between Rs 1.75 lakh and 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom). For reference, the BS4 Mojo UT 300 costs Rs 1.65 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).  

The new Garnet Black paint scheme has the body panels in a black paint finish with the frame and  swingarm in red instead of the trademark gold paint job. It’s black wheels now get a red rim tape. The bodywork remains unchanged, which is disappointing: the Mojo could have done with a new face at the very least. It appears to use the same twin halogen headlamp setup and semi-digital instrument console as before. 

The updated BS6 motor is fuel-injected, which should help it deliver more performance than the Mojo UT 300 variant’s carburetted engine. For reference, the UT variant’s 300cc liquid-cooled motor delivered 23PS and 25.2Nm. Like before, the Mojo 300 BS6 will feature a 6-speed gearbox. 

The new Mojo 300 BS6 appears to use the same underpinnings as the Mojo UT 300. It gets conventional telescopic forks and a monoshock. Even the brakes appear to be the same 320mm front disc with radial caliper and 240mm rear disc from the UT 300. The upcoming motorcycle will get dual-channel ABS though. 

The 2020 Mojo BS6 will compete with the Bajaj Dominar 250, Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Suzuki Gixxer 250.
