Auto Expo 2023: Moto Vault Stall Wrapup: Zontes, QJ Motor, Moto Morini Bikes
Cruisers, retro bikes, ADVs and even a few scooters made their mark at the Moto Vault stall
The Moto Vault Stall at Auto Expo 2023 showcased all three brands Zontes, QJ Motor, and Moto Morini, all of which had multiple entrants. So here’s a showcase of all the two-wheelers from the Moto Vault stall.
Moto Morini
Moto Morini was first in line, showing off four bikes from its existing portfolio: the Seiemmezzo Retro Street, Seiemmezzo Scrambler, X-Cape 650, and off-road friendly sibling, the X-Cape 650X.
QJ Motor
Next on the list was QJ Motor, which showcased three all-new products: the SCR 125, SRV 125, TRX 125. The SCR 125 cruiser has a really muscular look, though its specs (10.4PS/8.9Nm) put it firmly in the commuter fold. QJ’s next entry, the TRX125 streetbike, sports a sharp design, and a retuned version of the SCR125’s engine making 11PS and 10Nm. However, the QJ bike that won our hearts was the SRV125 cruiser. And it wasn’t just due to its swooping design, but also from the impressive specs (14.9PS/12.1Nm) from its liquid-cooled 125cc engine.
Along with these, QJ also showed off its current Indian lineup, consisting of the SRC 250 retro scrambler, SRV 300 cruiser, SRK 400 street naked and SRC 500 classic roadster.
Zontes
Rounding off the list was Zontes, which came in with four all-new two-wheelers. Starting from the smallest, we saw the U1 200. Now, this one is a sharp looking off-road themed naked bike with, hints of KTM 200 Duke. The spoke wheels, dual-purpose tyres, coupled with the moderately powerful (21.9PS/19Nm) liquid-cooled mill should make it a fun urban bike that isn’t afraid to take on light trails.
Next up were the maxi-scooter duo: the 350D and 350E. Now, we’ll admit the resemblance with its cousin from Keeway, the Vieste 300. However, unlike the Vieste and Sixties 300i, the 350D and E boast dedicatedly strong performance (36.7PS/38Nm) from their 349cc liquid-cooled mill. For perspective, the Bajaj Dominar 400 makes 40PS and 35Nm.
The final entrant on the list is the S350 power cruiser, the ‘power’ tag coming in courtesy its 348cc liquid-cooled engine, which makes 39.33PS and 32.8Nm, enough to show a clean pair of heels to sporty offerings like the TVS Apache RR 310. But one look at it, and even the slashes and cuts on its body won’t attract as much attention as its single-sided swingarm! Know more about the S350 here.
