Here’s an in-depth look at the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF from all the possible angles

Since its launch in 2015, the Gixxer SF hasn’t received any major update. The company has now launched the 2019 variant and boy, does it look good! It’s not just that the updated Gixxer SF 150 has received a complete design overhaul, the company has made some minor mechanical updates too. Here’s a closer look at the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF.

While the current Gixxer SF looks like a baby GSX-R1000R, the new one has been designed on the same lines as the Gixxer SF 250.

The front of the new Gixxer SF is almost similar to that of the Gixxer SF 250. In fact, if you keep both the motorcycles side by side, it would take you a minute or two to differentiate them.

The updated Gixxer SF has gained some weight as well. As it’s sharing its chassis with the Gixxer SF 250, the 2019 Gixxer SF faired motorcycle is now 6kg heavier than the previous-gen variant.

It gets split seats and the rider now sits 15mm higher than before.

The previous variant featured a single-piece handlebar, whereas the 2019 iteration gets clip-ons.

In terms of features, it gets an updated digital instrument cluster and LED lights at the front and at the back.

One of the major mechanical changes that the 2019 Gixxer SF gets is the engine. Although it is the same 155cc unit as seen on the older variant, the 2019 model produces 0.7PS less than the model it replaces.

While the Gixxer SF 250 gets a bronze engine cover, the lower-spec model features a black panel. However, we would have loved it if Suzuki had used the same bronze paint option.

Suspension bits remain the same on both the models -- 41mm telescopic fork and a 7-step preload-adjustable monoshock. However, the 2019 variant gets a stiffer front suspension, which could be confidence-building while taking tight corners.

The front and rear disc setup with single-channel ABS have remained unchanged.

Just like its bigger cousin, the Gixxer SF 250, the 2019 Gixxer SF is available in two paint options: black and grey.
