Moto Guzzi Eldorado Highlights
19 June 2018: The Moto Guzzi Eldorado is the perfect blend of retro styling and new tech. On the design front, there are spoked wheels, lots of chrome, a retro theme paint job, whitewall tyres, the fuel tank with chrome finished sides, the oversize saddle, the rear mudguard with the gem-shaped tail light and the bullhorn handlebar. In contrast to the retro look, you have modern-day tech such as ride-by-wire throttle, 3 levels of traction control, cruise control, three power modes (Touring, Sport and Rain), ABS and more!
The cruiser runs on a 1380cc, 90° V-twin engine that pumps out 97PS of power at 6500rpm and unleashes 120Nm of torque at 2750rpm. A 6-speed gearbox transfers power to the rear wheel via a shaft drive. One can expect a decent range of 300km from its 20.5L fuel tank. The Moto Guzzi Eldorado uses a double cradle frame with conventional 46mm front forks and dual shock absorbers with preload adjustment at the rear. Anchoring the bike are twin 320mm rotors clamped with radially mounted Brembo calipers at the front, while the rear gets a 282mm disc with a twin-piston caliper. The Moto Guzzi Eldorado's 16-inch spoked wheels come wrapped with 130/90 section tyres in the front while the rear gets a 180/60 section tyre. It sits quite low, with a ground clearance of 165 mm and a seat height measuring in at 740 mm.
The Italian cruiser will be offered in two colours: Red and Black. At a price tag of Rs 21.16 lakh, the bike competes against the Harley-Davidson Fat Boy and Harley-Davidson Bob.
