Honda Activa Electric

The Honda Activa Electric is an electric scooter, available in 1 variant, at a starting price of Rs 1.10 Lakh.

Honda has expanded its production lines and is set to roll out the Activa electric soon. Here are the details.

Honda’s first electric offering for the Indian market will likely be the Activa electric. That's because Honda Activa has been the best-selling scooter in India for years, so it’s only logical for the Japanese brand to cash in on the scooter’s popularity and develop an electric iteration.

The e-scooter is likely to be a mid-range vehicle with a fixed battery pack. Honda had also teamed up with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to establish a network of battery swapping stations across the country at the latter’s petrol pumps. Once launched, the Honda Activa Electric will rival the likes of Ather Rizta, Hero Vida V1 Pro, Ola S1 Air and the TVS iQube. It could come with a price tag of around Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
