Harley Davidson Low Rider Latest Updates
Harley-Davidson's website has been updated with the 2020 Low Rider which is now BS6-compliant. Priced at Rs 13. 75 lakh, it is Rs 6,000 more expensive than its BS4 counterpart. Torque and weight have remained unchanged. H-D dealers are accepting phone bookings for the 2020 Low Rider.
The Harley-Davidson Softail Low Rider's design draws inspiration from custom choppers from the 70s. It features a 19. 1-litre fuel tank that also houses a semi-digital instrument console and an analogue tachometer placed in the middle. It also gets a chrome finish crest sitting atop the headlight, an all-LED headlamp and a 2-by-1 shotgun-style exhaust.
The highlight of the H-D Low Rider are its 19-inch front and 16-inch rear ‘Radiate’ cast aluminium wheels that give it a Roadster kind of appeal. The Low Rider is currently available in four colour options - red, black, blue and white.
Except for the Fat Boy Anniversary Edition, all other cruisers from the Softail range sold in India, except get Harley-Davidson’s all-new 107 Milwaukee-Eight engine. This 45-degree, 1745cc, V-Twin engine produces 144Nm of torque. The new Low Rider is easily one of sportiest motorcycle in the Softail range after the Fat Bob thanks to the much lighter frame, making it more agile than ever. The suspension setup includes Showa Dual Bending Valve front forks and a rear monoshock unit. Braking is managed by an ABS equipped single disc at both ends.
The Low Rider is priced at Rs 12. 99 lakh, which is Rs 98,000 more than the Street Bob. It competes against the Triumph Thunderbird Storm (Rs 14. 45 lakh) and the Indian Chief Dark Horse (Rs 18. 81 lakh) (all prices ex-showroom).
