Expert Review
The Ducati Diavel is a performance cruiser powered by Ducati's V4 Granturismo engine. It combines superbike-like performance with a relatively comfortable riding position. The Diavel gets a new colour, the ‘Black Roadster Livery’ option too, joining the existing Ducati Red.
Ducati Diavel Price
The Ducati Diavel is priced at Rs 29,66,000 for the Ducati Red colour option. The new Black Roadster Livery costs a bit more, at Rs 29,98,000 (both ex-showroom, India).
Ducati Diavel Colour Options
The Ducati Diavel is now available in two colour schemes: Ducati Red and the newly introduced Black Roadster Livery.
Ducati Diavel Variants
The Diavel continues to be sold in a single variant.
Ducati Diavel Design
The Ducati Diavel gets a performance-cruiser styling. Up front, the LED DRLs use Ducati's distinctive double-C design, giving the bike a modern look. The side panels resemble air intakes but are actually extensions of the fuel tank, complementing the overall bodywork. The taillight has that same double-C signature, wrapped in a honeycomb-textured cowl that blends with the whole design. A single-sided swingarm, gorgeous machine-cut alloy wheels, and the macho four-outlet exhaust complete the Diavel's bold design. Buyers can choose between the Ducati Red colour scheme and the new Black Roadster Livery, which offers a stealthier appearance.
Ducati Diavel Engine
The Diavel is built around a 1,158cc, liquid-cooled V4 engine that makes 168PS at 10,750rpm and 126Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox, along with a bidirectional quickshifter and a slip-and-assist clutch, which makes both upshifts and downshifts quicker.
Ducati Diavel Chassis, Brakes, Wheels, Suspension
Suspension duties are handled by a 50mm fully adjustable inverted fork up front and a fully adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking comes from 330mm twin discs paired with Brembo Stylema calipers up front, and a 265mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel cornering ABS included as standard. The bike rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 120-section front and 240-section rear Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tubeless tyres. Seat height sits at 790mm, and the fuel tank holds 20 litres. Kerb weight comes in at a fairly light 223kg without fuel, a number that should make the bike feel quite manageable for a performance cruiser of this size once it's rolling.
Ducati Diavel Features
The cockpit is built around a 5-inch TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity. There's also a generous list of rider aids on offer, including launch control, multiple ride and power modes, cornering ABS and traction control, wheelie control, slide control, engine brake control, and a pit limiter. Backlit switches, dynamic turn indicators, and an emergency brake light complete the equipment nicely.
Ducati Diavel Competition
In this segment, the Diavel goes up against the Harley-Davidson Fat Boy and the Triumph Rocket 3. If you're comparing prices, the Harley costs the most of the three, the Diavel sits right in the middle, and the Rocket 3 works out to be the cheapest option.
